Collective Overview
(For your horoscopes, scroll below. Read for your sun, moon, and rising signs.)
What potent, potent times we find ourselves immersed in. Times of upheaval, of change, of deep ache, of confusion, of reflections on profound collective themes and questions—what it means to journey through the world as a human. What it has meant for centuries, and the glimmering, prismatic possibilities of what it could mean.
This shared, collective moment overflows with the sensations of the in-between—of not quite being where we once were, and not quite being where we are going. In a world almost entirely marred by colonialisms both new and old, many of us have been robbed of the skillsets of navigating, thriving, and dancing in the magic of the in-between. Binaries of all kinds, the dominant linear way of orienting with the world, violent uprootings of human beings from their ancestral lands and their ancient spiritual practices the world over—these and more have eroded on our ability to brave moments of profound, unsettling limbo, and the gifts we might find there.
With all of their might, though, the wisdom in our bones has never left. In the centuries of fight against the myth of whiteness, the haunting residue of colonialism, and all forms of oppression, that wisdom has only been emboldened. We swell with more power than we can fathom.
Nestled in the mystery of the in-between as we are now, there is much we are invited to—including the invitation to dream.
Today’s new moon in Taurus amplifies the invitation to dream up the collective futures that beckon us—the futures illuminated by the stark contrasts now made achingly apparent on a global scale.
New moons are dark, sensuous turnings of time on which to plant seeds, to envision, and to soak ourselves in the boundless fertility of dark spaces with every bit of our hearts.
This moon makes a conjunction to Uranus, also in Taurus. Uranus makes a slow (but never dull) journey through Taurus until 2026. Uranus’s revolutionary medicine sends electric bolts throughout the collective—waves of shocking, inspiring, and progressive visions for catalyzing collective change. The medicine of this planet thrives in moments of the in-between, seizing the opportunity for what it is, and seeing hundreds of years into the future to rally us all into shared visions.
On Earth Day as well, this moon truly highlights the invitation for a New Earth. Take this moon to feel into the visions you hold for the futures of the collective. Grieve deeply, and use your grief to water those seeds. Dream collectively with your loved ones. Document what you envision in some way—whether you write these intentions in your journal, or record yourself talking—and write your heartsongs for the worlds you dream of as if you were living them now. Ask the Honorable Ancestors in your lineage to guide you through this envisioning—they, too, have dreamed big and worked with the revolutionary elixir of Uranus. On the corresponding Taurus full moon (falling on Halloween this year), revisit what you dreamed up today.
We are beckoned to collectively architect, in our unique ways, futures where justice is at the foundation—where the systems we live within demand true thriving, connection, and joy to be possible.
We can do this.
Enjoy your horoscopes, loves—read for your sun, moon, and rising signs as well.
Aries
Aries, we began your season and the astrological new year in the midst of huge, unthinkable change within the world. With an unquenchable penchant and potential for innovative leadership, these major collective upheavals may have called forth new opportunities for leadership and what it means to you. These reflections may still be unfolding for you—allow them to. Within that, the sudden collective rest for your traditionally go-go-go nature may have proven to be deeply uncomfortable.
In this rest, novel ways of merging your authentic self with new ideas and opportunities of leadership may have presented themselves to you. Perhaps a radical shift in the meaning of being a leader has occurred for you. On this new moon, you are gifted with time to explore how to take these new ideas of leadership into tangible form in the way that only you can. Dare to believe that the resources and creativity necessary to do what you do best will appear—what you dream of innovating depends upon your daring.
Taurus
Taurus, this new moon is an opportunity to deepen the expansion and revolutionizing of your very identity. Uranus’s electric dance through your sign continues through 2026, and calls the collective to dream new ways of existing in our habitat. In this way, the world is looking to you, Taurus. In you, we are reminded of the eroticism of slowness, of music, and of damp, dark soil. You show us our first meaning of abundance—this Earth we live on and will return to. Your body holds old wisdom and even older rhythms—your bones know the way. As such a somatic sign, your body and spirit may have felt these calls of what is currently emerging long before we did.
On your new moon, explore what it means to stand as the pillar and archetype for how this world could move forward. Celebrate you and the deep transformations you have undergone—and continue to get comfortable with discomfort. Write down the ways you want to continue revolutionizing who you are—get witchy with it, as the full moon in your sign falls on Halloween this year(!)
Gemini
Gemini, this new moon—and much of Taurus season—invite you to deep rest before we enter your season. For some of you, the sudden shift into rest and stillness may have proven to be unsettling—now is your time to explore the gifts rest may be attempting to extend to you. Are there things you are finding in the stillness that make you uncomfortable? Are there old cycles, beliefs, or patterns making themselves known to you? Old dreams or passion projects long forgotten?
On this new moon, explore all of this with your effervescent curiosity—allow yourself to feel anything that must be felt. Trust the releases, and try your best to avoid the intellectualization of your emotions. Think of the releases and endings as pruning—and making space for more of you to emerge as we prepare for your season.
Cancer
Cancer, the archetype of your sign has been holding much of the collective note for a couple of years now. The North Node has been in Cancer—urging us all as a collective to consider and embody real care. We’ve been pulled by the gold you radiate so beautifully—that nurturing and nourishment be the standard for all and not the few. We gaze in awe at the ways your leadership is fundamentally imbued with care.
On this new moon, envision your deepest desires for further bringing your ideas for collective change into form. Explore what it means to you to belong to your community in tangible ways. Perhaps your desires for this are a little “out there”, or feel “impossible”—Uranus smiles on this and encourages you to dare to believe.
Leo
Leo, your professional path, life’s legacy, and your medicine to the world are beautifully highlighted on this new moon. Uranus has been dancing through this part of your chart, likely bringing sudden upsets, shifts, and surprises—trust that these are all a part of the unfolding of the ways you are uniquely poised to shine in the world. If there are ways you have been living out of integrity with the deeper knowing that you have about what you really want to do, these surprises are intended to reroute you to your truth.
On this new moon, call upon that deeper knowing, and let it guide you in setting intentions for your real, most deeply felt desires professionally. Ask yourself this—what do you want to be known for when you are gone?
Virgo
Virgo, you may have been experiencing exciting (and at times, unsettling) shifts in the constructs of your worldview and your most deeply held beliefs—specifically around what it means to belong to the Earth. The expansion you’ve been undergoing may be uprooting values and ethics born of the very same systems and structures we see being collectively transmuted and called into question. Perhaps there are new ways of belonging to the Earth that have been inviting you into exploration—let the vastness of these visions inspire you rather than overwhelm you.
On this new moon, plant seeds of intention for how you would like to see yourself continue to journey and expand in unprecedented ways. Ask for the guidance necessary to fuse your wildest dreams with your infamous drive to bring these expansive new visions into form. Remember—your healing hands spin gold.
Libra
Libra, lessons of death, rebirth, the power of impermanence, and your personal magnetism may be particularly noted for you as Uranus travels through Taurus, activating your 8th house. How you utilize resources, money, and the potency of your sexual energy may also be figuring strongly. Like the skins of the snake and the ashes of the phoenix, your lessons in personal power and magnetism may come in the ways that power really gets harnessed—experience. Through walking the path that no one but you can walk. Through consistent, loving meetings with your shadow. Through shedding the falsehoods held about yourself so that the truth of who you are might be reborn.
On this new moon, state your desires for the ways in which you would like to continue to see yourself transform. Lovingly, honestly explore what needs to be laid to rest within yourself so that more of your true essence can bloom through. Dare to believe that your magnetism is rich enough to draw the resources you need, like sustenance to the spider’s web.
Scorpio
The art of human connection—and the beliefs that you have about this rich domain of the human experience—has been under potent, changemaking review for you with Uranus’s dance through Taurus. You and your sister sign Taurus compose the axis of life and death, fertility and decomposition. In the northern hemisphere, we see the burgeoning of life in Taurus season that could not have happened without the death and decay of your season, Scorpio.
On this new moon, explore what new life you would like to see emerge in how you show up to friends, lovers, business partners, and all connections in between. With your exquisite insight, examine what has cyclically been mirrored to you through others on your journey of relating. How do you practice vulnerability? How might inviting healthy risks into your relationships revolutionize your relationship with self? And what feedback loop might this create between your inner and outer world? Don’t be afraid to make your intentions big ones—the corresponding Full Moon in Taurus falls on Halloween this year, deep in the thick of your season.
Sagittarius
Sagittarius, significant shifts in how you navigate devotion—and what that means to you—may be prevalent over the next several years. Your worldly visions are vast, and now is the time to anchor those visions with the details, outlines, and tangible steps necessary to bring them into fruition. Your sign, ever focused on expansion, can sometimes float from phenomena to phenomena—from grand idea to grand idea. Now is the time to root so that you may rise.
On this new moon, explore what it means to you to make a decision and to fully devote yourself to it. Examine what discomfort, if any, arises at the thought of commitment, and where that may stem from. With all the slow, sensuous, and steadfast earthy energy that this moon activates in your chart, you are invited to find the magic of your grand visions in the daily, tangible steps it will take to make your dreams come true.
Capricorn
Capricorn, you are currently poised to learn how to burn brightly and take up space—and to expand into the knowing that boldly embodying you is not only safe and okay, but is a great service to the ones you love. At times, you may feel as though you must earn playfulness, flamboyance, and creativity for creativity’s sake. Unlearning this conditioning may figure strongly for some time, and you will be better for it.
On this new moon, commit to infusing passion into your life. Ask for guidance in understanding the roots of any discomfort with playfulness and sensuality. Begin inviting small pleasures into your day-to-day life—and see what unfurls within your body when in the rapture of creativity or a kiss.
Aquarius
Aquarius, there is a place for you on this Earth, and tonight’s new moon stands as an invitation to tread forth in this truth. This moon activates the part of your chart ruling heritage, ancestry, roots, and belonging. With Uranus (your ruling planet) in Taurus joining the moon, any shifts, shake-ups, and sudden insights are catalysts to heal what stands in the way of owning that you have the right to take up space—and that you belong here beautifully and unconditionally.
Tonight, dream up what it might look like to belong to yourself and in your body in ways that you haven’t before. Reflect upon your Ancestors, and what it meant for them to belong to themselves, to each other, and to land. What does it look like for you to build a relationship with land that is rooted in reciprocity—and how might that set you and your Ancestors free?
Pisces
Pisces, your ancient waters and wisdom are not intended to remain solely within yourself—and if you have been feeling the pull to communicate your Knowing, let this new moon be the moment in which you commit to sharing your medicine. In your oceans, Pisces, we find unimaginable solace. Perhaps you’re a writer, speaker, or photographer—whatever your medium, the impact of your visions for humanity need to be known and felt now more than ever.
On this new moon, ask for the strength to believe in your messages and visions. Commit to the action steps necessary for that sharing to occur. Experiment with how consistently disseminating your wisdom might help build the fortitude to withstand the discomfort that arises after sharing what you create.
